The Tagline

Think you've got what it takes to write a company tagline?   This is your chance to be the voice of the company!   Write our next tagline, and win a $200 gift card for your contribution.

Your mission is to create a 5 - 6* word tagline that describes duraTOUCH®.   Put yourself in the shoes of the CEO of Fitbit.  What words instantly let you know what is the value of duraTOUCH®?

You can submit your tagline as an individual or a team***, or you can vote that we already have the right tagline ("The only all-weather touch").

*Taglines longer than 6 words will not be disqualified.  Challenge yourself to meet tagline best practices** and use as few words as possible!

If "The only all-weather touch" wins, we will still reward the company with a celebration (details forthcoming).

The details:

Prize:  $200 Am Ex gift card to the individual or team*** who submits the winning tagline.

$25 Am Ex gift card for second place

$10 Starbucks card for 3rd place

Dates:

Entries due by 2:00 p.m. CST/noon PST, Friday, October 16

Round 1 announcement: Tuesday, October 20

Voting: through Thursday, October, 22 closes at 2:00 p.m. CST/noon PST

Final announcement: Friday, October 23, 2:00 p.m. CST/noon PST

Entry:  Each person*** may enter 1 tagline, or vote with the #1 for the "The only all-weather touch". Once the tagline is submitted, it is considered to be your final entry.

*** You may submit an entry as a team. The total reward to your team will be $200 in gift cards.  Therefore, it's best to have an even number of team members as gift cards come in denominations of $25 and $50.

If the team is submitting a vote for "The only all-weather touch", each person on the team will be counted as an individual vote, so make sure you list all team members if you check this box.

Judging:  Judging will be blind. All entries are anonymous.  Taglines will be judged in 2 rounds. In round 1, the judges (Mus, Doug Moneison from our board, and Hiten) will narrow the taglines down to the top 3.   Forrest Folsom will compile collect and manage entry data.  Board members may not submit a tagline.  Judges may not submit a tagline.  Forrest Folsom may not submit a tagline. The Board,  Judges and Forrest Folsom may vote in the 2nd round vote up.

In round 2, the top 3 will be voted up to arrive at the winning tagline.  The method is by ranking. Each voter will rank the 3 taglines, and the tagline with the most #1 votes wins.   You must rank all 3 taglines for your vote to count.

We will have a company team lunch/(brunch in California) to reveal the results.
